How to sell meetings, weddings and events online
Event enquiries often take days of emails. How to put meeting rooms, packages and catering online — and still protect your terms.
Event sales usually run on email: a planner asks, the hotel sends a PDF, and the back-and-forth begins. Many smaller events could simply be booked online.
What to put online
- Meeting rooms with capacity by layout and hourly or daily prices
- Packages — day-delegate, residential, half-day
- Celebration packages for weddings, birthdays and anniversaries, shown as tiers
- Catering menus priced per person
- Event add-ons — AV, décor, photography, transfers
Protect your terms
Group rules set deposits, cut-off dates and minimum numbers. Below the minimum, planners are sent to an enquiry form instead of booking.
Don’t forget bedrooms
Wedding and conference guests need rooms. Group codes, volume discounts and free rooms per N booked make that part simple. See group booking and Events & MICE.
